I see many others have had this problem but I have yet to see a true 'fix' for it. EVERY TIME I restart Thunderbird, it forgets my setting... I want to NOT use 'paragraph format.' IS ANYBODY EVER GOING TO FIX THIS FOR GOOD? Anyone know how I can get the 'unchecked' setting to hold? I would be grateful for a fix. Problem exists on a 15" MacBook Pro with Intel, and a new 16" MacBook Pro with M1 chip. Running OS 12.0.1 Monterey (but problem also existed using Big Sur and Catalina).

Every time I have seen a mac user complaining about settings not being retained it is because they are running the DMG file from the temp folder and the settings are deleted because they have not actually installed Thunderbird so the OS cleans up the temp folder on exit. Is this also you as well?
