nbcnews.com won't accept custom settings

When MSNBC.com changed to NBC.com, the site changed my hometown preferences. I've been unable to reset them. They said they don't know how to support Firefox.

I've gone to the Customize page several times, made the changes, the changes appear on the customize page, but disappear when I go back to the main page.

Is this feature only available to users who are logged in? (I don't have a login...)

When you have a problem with one particular site, a good "first thing to try" is clearing your Firefox cache and deleting your saved cookies for the site.

1. Clear Firefox's Cache

orange Firefox button or Tools menu > Options > Advanced

On the Network mini-tab > Offline Storage : "Clear Now"

2. If needed, delete the site's cookies here (nbc.com and nbcnews.com)

While viewing a page on the site, right-click and choose View Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"

Then try reloading the page. Can you get settings to save?
