Real Player 15 does not work in Firefox 9 but works in Chrome
when I try to play streaming audio from a website, the small window comes up and loads everything except the controls for Real Player. The plugin works fine in Chrome.
Chosen solution
Did you try to start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode and check whether RealPlayer videos/audios/links works while using Firefox Safe Mode ??
Also thoroughly check Real Player Program's settings and Real Player Plugin's settings.
Check and tell if its working.

Your Flash plugin is a bit older, you need to update it.
-> Update All your Firefox Plugins
- https://www-dev.allizom.org/en-US/plugincheck/
- http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/plugincheck/
- When Downloading Plugins Update setup files, Remove Checkmark from Downloading other Optional Softwares with your Plugins (e.g. Toolbars, McAfee, Google Chrome, etc.)
-> Restart Firefox
Check and tell if its working.
Modified
According to their website, my Flash is up to date.
I checked for updates and found the only things out of date were Java and Silverlight, which I updated and the same problem continues.
I have attached a screenshot of the missing controls.
-> Clear Cookies & Cache
-> Troubleshoot extensions, themes and hardware acceleration issues to solve common Firefox problems
Check and tell if its working.
I cleared the cache and went through all the troubleshooting steps to no avail. The only thing that came up was on the Default Theme it said "Default is incompatible with Firefox 9.0.1. Should I remove it"
What is next suggestion?
-> Fix problems with RealPlayer add-ons
Check and tell if its working.
I did everything listed and it is still not working. It works fine in Internet Explorer, Opera and Chrome. Just will not work in Firefox.
What else to try?
- Fix common audio and video issues
- Flash videos won't play full screen

Check and tell if its working.
Nothing there helped fix the problem. I'm assuming it must be something unique to my laptop since no one else has had this issue.

Tried everything you suggested in last post - same result - controls are still missing.
Have you asked about this problem from Real Player's Technical Support ?? They might be able to point you in the right direction...
