I recently installed 7.0.1 and it now goes into a CPU loop frequently. How do we resolve this?

What is the previous release that does NOT have this bug?? I need to back this out until it is fixed..?? Or if you have a better fix, please let me know as this is negatively impacting my work.

Thanks,

Phil

Hey ibmse,

I suggest you try to run in safe mode first

Try this

Type in the address bar

about:config

Accept the warning.

In the page that appears, in the Filter box, type

network.http.max-connections

Change the value to 32 (which is probably set to 256 in your case).

Close that page.

Restart the browser.

OK, I tried making the changes mentioned. Here's what I got...

Before my system went to 98%+ busy. Now it's around 50% -- which still isn't good. Metering the process helps, but the problem is still there. Any more ideas??

P.S. I am in the process of writing a newsletter to 1000's of people on this subject. So it would be great if I could give them a fix instead of a 'back out' message..!?

Sorry, I have only this work around for the moment.

BTW... I just tried setting 'network.http.max-connections' to 16 with no apparent change in %CPU used. I then put it back to 256 and the results are pretty much the same..??!

Heellllllppp...!!

What version can I back up too?? And where do I get it??
