Chosen solution

If you just want to remove your username and password for specifically the Amazon website, do the following:

  1. Go to Amazon
  2. Click the green lock icon in the Firefox address bar
  3. Press the right arrow in the drop down menu that appears
  4. Click More information
  5. Click View saved passwords
  6. Click on the username that you want Firefox to forget
  7. Press the Remove button

After you do this, if your username still appears in the drop down menu that appears on the login screen, follow the steps in the Deleting individual form entries section of the Control whether Firefox automatically fills in forms documentation.
