I have the most recent version of firefox, and when I went to watch a video it told me that Shockwave Flash was not updated and that I needed the latest version. I then followed the link to download the newest version. The old version is 27.0, and the new one I downloaded is 29.0. However, for whatever reason the plugins screen shows both versions and only has the "known to be vulnerable and needs to be updated" message on the 27.0 version - which I can't seem to get rid of, and it doesn't seem to see 29.0 even though it's installed.

Is there a way I can uninstall 27.0 and keep 29.0? Is there something else I need to do to get it to work? When prompted to allow Flash and I allow it, it does nothing.

Your System Details shows;

Installed Plug-ins

Shockwave Flash 27.0 r0 Shockwave Flash 29.0 r0
Having more than one version of a program may cause issues. You must remove the older programs. Then get the current full installer.

Flash: Grab the uninstaller from here:

http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/uninstall-flash-player-windows.html Uninstall Flash Player | Windows

http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/uninstall-flash-player-mac-os.html Uninstall Flash Player | Mac

Then reinstall the latest version.

Note: Windows users should download the active_x for Internet Explorer. and the plugin for Plugin-based browsers (like Firefox).

Note: Windows 8 and Windows 10 have built-in flash players and Adobe will cause a conflict. Install the plugin only. Not the active_x.

Flash Player Version 29.0.0.113
