My Firefox won't save my login/passwords. I have it checked to do so under Security. It used to. I am confused.

My Firefox won't save my login/passwords. I have it checked to do so under Security. It used to. I am confused. I don't know what I changed. Or why it stopped saving my logins.

Separate issue. Update your Adobe software.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web Link} by holding down the <Shift>
(Mac=Options) key, and then starting Firefox. A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh).

Is the problem still there?

Make sure you do not run Firefox in permanent Private Browsing mode (Always use Private Browsing mode; Never Remember History).

  • Options/Preferences -> Privacy -> Firefox will: "Use custom settings for history"
  • Deselect: [ ] "Always use Private Browsing mode"

If you have TrendMicro software then try to uninstall the TrendMicro Password Manager via the Windows Control Panel.
