It's probably the massive throughput of data that's freezing the system. Does the same issue happen with other browser such as Chrome or Internet Explorer?

Hello, confirm Machine Master's reply, definitely is the huge data that you send and receive, if you block all the downloads in any torrent client and keep active only the uploads then maybe you can open some pages (without too much flash in it).
