Adobe Acrobat keeps installing .PDF extension. Driving me nuts!
Hi guys,
First; I am new to the forums, so I am hoping I am posting this in the correct area. If not, I am sorry.
I have Adobe Acrobat installed. I am experiencing the following problem; every time I remove the 'Adobe Acrobat - Create PDF' from extensions it will re-add it back after a few days.
Obviously this wouldn't be a problem, except for the fact it also resets my Firefox sessions (or whatever it's called). By this I mean, that I get logged of at every site. Also I get the cookies acknowledgement/accept thing for every page again. It's like visiting a website for the first time.
This is happening for the past few months / weeks now and is driving me nuts... If I remove an extension, as in I don't want it (ever), it shouldn't re-add it after a few days right?
What am I doing wrong here....? If there is no solution, I will just keep the stupid 'Adobe Acrobat - Create PDF' extension, but I never use it. And also having less extensions, is also better for performance and memory usage.
I really don't understand when I remove something, it comes back after a few days and resets my sessions (and cookies?). Is anyone else experiencing this by any chance as well? And what can be done to fix this? Would be great if I could completely block this extension from Adobe.
Thank you in advance for your answers.
Regards

Note: Some software, like Advanced SystemCare with Surfing Protection, can protect files in the Firefox profile folder against changes. If you have such software then check the settings or uninstall this software.
Update. Now it's gone again from the extensions, though I didn't do anything to remove it.
It seems my sessions and cookies are still active. Thank God. Tomorrow the .PDF function will probably be back (I hope not).
As I mentioned; this drive me nuts.
If it comes back, try disabling the extension rather than removing it entirely.
