Whenever I attempt to log in to my email account, the following message appears and I cannot get into the email account. "Request Entity Too Large The requested resource /mail/client/home;jsessionid=0577FD9ED0D848EB752ECAE3F8C9CE00-n1.lxa05b does not allow request data with GET requests, or the amount of data provided in the request exceeds the capacity limit. " This has just started happening recently. Thank you, Alfred Carroll

This issue is probably caused by corrupted cookies.

Clear the cache and remove cookies only from websites that cause problems.

"Clear the Cache":

  • Firefox > Preferences > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"

"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:

  • Firefox > Preferences > Privacy > "Use custom settings for history" > Cookies: "Show Cookies"

Unfortunately, this did not help. Went through all the suggested recommendations. Even upgraded to the latest Firefox for Mac download. Just tried to log onto my email, and the same message appeared. I am using another web browser in order to use my email accounts. Any other suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thank you

If clearing cookies didn't help then it is possible that the cookies.sqlite file that stores the cookies got corrupted.

  • Rename (or delete) cookies.sqlite (cookies.sqlite.old) and if present delete cookies.sqlite-shm and cookies.sqlite-wal in the Firefox profile folder in case cookies.sqlite got corrupted.

You can use this button to go to the current Firefox profile folder:

You can remove all data stored in Firefox from a specific domain via "Forget About This Site" in the right-click context menu of an history entry ("History > Show All History" or "View > Sidebar > History") or via the about:permissions page.

Using "Forget About This Site" will remove all data stored in Firefox from that domain like bookmarks, cookies, passwords, cache, history, and exceptions, so be cautious. If you have a password or other data from that domain that you do not want to lose then make sure to backup this data or make a note.

You can't recover from this 'forget' unless you have a backup of the involved files.

If you revisit a 'forgotten' website then data from that website will be saved once again.
