Sometimes a problem with Firefox may be a result of malware installed on your computer, that you may not be aware of.

You can try these free programs to scan for malware, which work with your existing antivirus software:

Microsoft Security Essentials is a good permanent antivirus for Windows 7/Vista/XP if you don't already have one. Windows 8 has antivirus built-in already.

Further information can be found in the Troubleshoot Firefox issues caused by malware article.

What does the popup say -- is it from the game, or some kind of alert from Firefox, or a crash dialog from Windows, or an ad from somewhere else?

On Windows 7, I have Java 8 U60. If you still have U51, you could try updating. It might be easiest to do that from the Windows Vista Control Panel, you should find "Java (32-bit)" in there, perhaps in the Programs category. It opens a dialog with an Update tab and there is an Update Now button.

Or is Java 8 U60 the problem version?
