A lot of financial institutions want you to verify your identity each time you use a different device to access their site. After verification, they set a cookie in the browser so you don't have to do it again the next time.
Between Firefox's privacy settings and private browsing feature, add-ons like Ghostery, and utilities like CCleaner there are many possible ways for your bank's cookie to get cleared. Let's start with Firefox's cookie settings. Can you check these articles:
- Websites say cookies are blocked - Unblock them (shows where to check your cookie settings)
- Delete browsing, search and download history on Firefox (section entitled "How do I make Firefox clear my history automatically?" -- make sure you don't have this turned on for cookies)
