When I want to insert images into an email, I use the "Send via email" option. I am then prompted to "Select image size," after which I click "Attach." At this point, a Thunderbird window should open with the files already attached—but it doesn't. What am I doing wrong?

I'm using TB 157.0.1 on a Mac.

When I want to attach a file to an email, I click on Shift+Cmd+A.

I want to be able to navigate to a folder where the file is, then search for the file by name within the folder I navigated to. But it doesn't quite work that way.

I navigate to the folder, enter the file name in the search field, hit Return, and TB searches my entire hard drive. How can I force TB to limit the search to the folder I navigated to?

When I hit Return (or Enter) and TB searches the entire hard drive, the window that displays search results has a field I can click on that will limit the search to the folder I navigated to, but I'd like to eliminate that extra step. I'd like to set a default when searching for a file to attach so that search is limited to the folder I navigated to.

Is that possible?

Hello everyone. From time to time, the "Attachments" button stops working. It can be clicked, but nothing happens. Occasionally, restarting the PC or the email client helps. More often, the only solution is to reinstall the entire program—which also means losing access to years' worth of emails, as I then have to wait for them to be re-downloaded from the IMAP server. What should I do? I’m using the latest versions.

Since the Thunderbird update of 30 Sept the ability to attached files to my emails has 'vanished'. I press the attach 'button' but there is no response. Never had this as a problem before. I am running Windows 11 home version. Help!

Thunderbird flatpak -1.0 I recently lost the ability to attach files of any kind to messages. when I click the button to attach, no option to choose messages from files are available. I have created an email and then want to attach a file to the email but when I click on attach it does nothing. I have done this many times before today. Has something changed that I need to look at?

Bonjour, A la maison, je suis sur iMac M4, pour le sérieux et sous Linux Mint pour respirer dans le monde du libre. Sur Mon iMac,j'ai bien la dernière version d'installée: 153.04.0 esr

Sur ma messagerie Thunderbird, je n'arrive par à joindre un fichier (PJ) dans un message départ. - Quand je clic sur "Ajouter une pièce jointe", aucune fenêtre ne s'ouvre (Finder)

Quand je suis sous Linux, tout fonctionne bien.
