There is a bug in the double click tab bar to open a new tab feature. I want to have a new tab open my home page by default. I have found (and successfully used) several add on apps to do this. A bug was introduced in V29 that breaks this functionality.

SITUATION: Install any of the add on apps to open new tab to home page. Click the new tab button and the new tab opens correctly with the home page displayed. Click File - New Tab and again the new tab opens correctly with the home page displayed. Double click the Tab bar and bug appears. TWO tab open. 1st has home page, 2nd has that totally absurd about:newtab screen displayed. (I can not believe that ANYONE would use that screen is sucks so much.)

Please fix this bug and notify when it is done.

Fixed it. The parameter extensions.classicthemerestorer.dblclnewtab was set to TRUE by the add on. When I toggled it to false it fixed the issue and only opened my home page in a new tab on double click.

Does this also happen if you set the browser.newtab.url pref to that home page?

The config setting is set to the url of my home page and the big still exists.
