I want to download an actual antivirus software on my pc that can scan my pc and check for viruses.
I had an antivirus fire fox program installed on my computer. It was a basic version where you had to update it manually to catch the most current threats. From there it would scan your computer and 'kill' any viruses if found. Unfortunately I didn't update enough and my computer was hacked. I lost my virus protection - and I tried to re-install the program. The virus wiped the disc clean. Now I can't find the same program I had before.

This is not a mozilla or Firefox problem. Please post other computer problems elseware You might want to look into AVG or Microsoft Essentials, both free.
Since it was a mozilla firefox antisoftware program, then it IS a mozilla or firefox problem. If it was a different computer problem, I wouldn't have asked this question here. Maybe I will go elsewhere now.
