My other half and I have just installed the latest Firefox on our computers. How do I start to use it? all the stuff at the top of the screen with the menus has gone. There is just a little red box in the top left-hand corner of the window that opens a kind of menu window that is far complicated for old codgers like us to find our way around. What do we have to do to make the top of firefox look 'normal' like all other programs with easy to click menus? We can't be the only people who detest change just for the sake of it. If I cant sort this out I will ask my old man to give me the Microsoft browser that all our friends use.

If you do not like the new appearance of Firefox 4 then you can change some setting to restore the Firefox 3 appearance.

You can right click the orange Firefox button to open the toolbar menu or use (F10) View > Toolbars.

  • Click the Menu Bar entry to make the Menu Bar visible.
  • Click "Tabs on Top" to remove the check mark and place the Tab Bar at its original position just above the browser window.
