After I visit a site, I find that the favicon for that site attaches itself to/replaces the favicon for one or more bookmarks for other sites. I can clear the cache, reboot, revisit a bookmarked page and everything reverts to normal. Unfortunately, the problem repeats itself. I don't want to have to keep clearing or deleting/resetting bookmarks. Is there a permanent solution to this bug?

This can be a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.

Thanks for the reply. I'll give it a try. Hopefully a fix is on the way as this lools like it could get pretty technical/pretty fast for an unsophisticated user who just wants a good working browser and has no datadase manipulation interest/experience. Thanks again.

I have this problem after upgrading to FF 5.0.1 -- which I did after installing Lion. I cleared my history and cache. Restarted all. I still get the wrong favicon in the bookmarks toolbar and in the address line. This is really frustrating. The correct favicons appear when I use Safari and Chrome. Surely there must be a way to fix this problem.
