Syncing between desktop and iOS. On desktop, visit a site and save login. Then visit it on mobile, saved login doesn't work.

If open the settings in mobile I can see the information. If it load it manually once, it works on mobile every time after.

Hey HelpImStuck,

It takes time for Firefox to sync the data. Make sure to choose the Sync Now menu to start syncing immediately.

Didn’t solve the issue. Clarification of problem: 1. Visit site with PC, log in, save login. 2. Sync 3. Sync on mobile 4. Visit site on mobile, saved login doesn’t function. Can see it in Logins & Passwords.

Ideas?

Have you make sure that you enable Sync for Logins and Passwords both on your desktop and mobile?

I tried to replicate it both on desktop and Firefox for iOS and it seems to be fine.

I found the problem, the web site needs to be exact on the mobile version, whereas the PC version will infer.

Example:

website address in Logins & Passwords: https://login.mybank.com
   bookmark: https://mybank.com

Use bookmark to go to site - on PC it offers to log in with saved credentials, on mobile it does not.

I changed the website address in Logins & Passwords to https://mybank.com and now mobile works.

So just a lack of consistency between the two platforms.

Aah, thanks for coming back here to let us know how you solved it. Glad that you find your way out of this problem by yourself.
