Hmm, they are using a style rule (styling a <div> as a table) that for some reason is causing Firefox to blank out several pages of the printout.

I don't know whether Firefox will get fixed to handle this weird style rule, but as a temporary workaround, I have an add-on that can tweak the page to get around it. In the first screenshot, you can see the "before and after" of what it does. In the second screenshot, you can see where the command is on the right-click context menu.

Each site has its own method for generating a clean printout of an email message, but in nearly all cases, there is a button to generate an overlay or a new window. Does that overlay or new window look correct before the print dialog pops up in front of it, or is that already not laying out correctly?

Do you want to mention which email service it is, for example, Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo, Xfinity, etc.

Yahoo email, layout looks fine but printing from firefox browser the body of email is blank only header and page numbers are printed.

I don't have all the options you do when I right click.

I'm sure all of our right-click context menus are different because we have different add-ons. Do you mean the options under Printable are different -- you don't see all 6 of them? Actually, you don't need all 6, you only need the first one.

I think I skipped a step:

  • Click Print and the new window pops up
  • The site launches the print dialog automatically, either the old one or the new one, depending on your version of Firefox
  • Press the Esc key or click cancel
  • Use the right-click context menu to inject the modification and call up the preview
