I've uninstalled avira, feeling bothered by avira safesearch appearing instead my usual search. avira.com is out , but the page still in the priorities and appearing all the time. How can I get rid of it?

Avira would probably be regarded as security related software and not malicious or adware. I guess they did not make its uninstall and cleanup routines effective enough.
Try using the search reset add-on, note this installs does its job and uninstalls itself.
