When attempting to sign out of Mozilla support by accessing my profile and clicking on "Sign Out", I go to a blank screen which has a URL address of https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/users/logout and the blank screen stays there forever.

I am told this is not good and I should "Sign Out", I recycled Firefox and rebooted several times to not avail. Any suggestions or do we have a bug?

Unfortunately I do not have the problem this morning and cannot specifically attribute any actions on my part to the resolution of this problem. On the day of my reporting, it was a solid bug that persisted Firefox restarting and Win 7 rebooting. I do know that I did "clear all" in Firefox later so the suggestion of removing cookies may have done the trick.

My apologies to all but at least I have a plan if this reappears in the future (ie, clear cookies and see if the problem has been resolved). Thanks for the suggestion!

I will email an admin of the platform, but in the meantime, does clearing the cache or removing individual cookies from the support site help?

  1. Open page and right click
  2. Select "Page Info"
  3. Go to the Security Tab, click View cookies then click remove all cookies.

Please post back, it could also help other users.

Unless it is a site with personal information, like banks, stores and the like, you don't really need to sign out. I almost never sign out of Mozilla.
