Hello, I have somehow replaced by bookmarks with empty bookmarks, and I don't have the previous version in backups on my local machine.

Could you help me?

I had to reinstall windows 10 (this was done by Microsoft with my permission) and so firefox was uninstalled (long with all apps). i have reinstalled Firefox, but can't retrieve my old bookmarks. I have a file of very old bookmarks, but the "import/restore" function doesn't restore or import using that file. Help please. Can the up to date bookmarks be retrieved from my uninstalled Firefox?

I am trying to move my mobile bookmarks from Firefox to Brave. I've synced them with no trouble from Firefox Android to desktop. I can see a folder in the Firefox bookmark manager called "mobile bookmarks", and it contains all my mobile bookmarks. From there, I can open them in Firefox, Brave, Edge, and Chrome. No problem.

When I click "Import and Backup", then "Export Bookmarks to HTML", I'm able to save the HTML file to whatever location I like - desktop, Downloads folder, etc. However, when I go to open the file, it only contains the Mozilla default bookmarks. None of the "Mobile bookmarks" folder is visible. The HTML file is only 11 kb.

FWIW, I've also tried directly importing the bookmarks to Brave using their import feature (not using an HTML file), and Brave does not recognize any bookmark files whatsoever from Firefox. Getting really frustrated.

One of my folders is lost. I know the bookmarks are in bookmarks as I can search on one or more. However, I can to know what folder they/it is in. Example: folder FOOD is lost, but I can search on hamburger and it shows up. etc. A one by one search takes a lot of time. I would like for the folder to show up in what other folder it is lost in.

Firefox browser kept crashing so my son deleted it and we thought re-installing would work but I lost all my bookmarks. I have tried all the solutions suggested on this site and none have worked. Any suggestions?

I changed computers and created a login to save bookmarks, it looked like this was accomplished but now on my new computer and after I login in Firefox it asks me to import but fire fox is not an option.

I am having trouble deleting Folders in Bookmarks Manager. When I search I get untold # of links, many of which do NOT relate to the topic. I'm sure the answer is somewhere but I can't find it. Can someone point me to the info?

Is there a way to refine the results from a large list? I'm a retired librarian so I have a lot of experience searching.

Win 7 64 bit. 109.0.1 (64-bit) I have two admin user accounts. On number two when I bookmark a page it automatically puts a folder on the toolbar.

in number one it puts in the bookmark pull down [where you click Bookmarks from the menu bar] and I can create a folder on the toolbar if I want. I want.

I do not want all boomarks to be on the toolbar but want the toolbar shown as i want to be able to add a folder

I have 2 laptops (Macs) and want to Merge the bookmarks on the two. I can only find ways to copy one to the other, but then it overwrites what is on the laptop the bookmarks are being copied too.

I changed my laptop and install Firefox browser on the new one but all my bookmarks are gone. I thought bookmarks automatically sync with Firefox account, like it work in another browser. But as I understand it doesn't work in this way in Firefox and I need to create a JSON file to restore my bookmarks, what is a total bullshit. what is a purpose to have a Firefox account if I cannot sync my data between different devices?

All my bookmarks and favourites vanished after a semmingly normal update. I had everything there, it was the reason I wanted to keep firefox instead of using edge. Please help me!

I inserted a pic of my problem. I want to save a twitter bookmark in my twitter folder in the toolbar but it comes up with TWO different folders! When I save to one it shows up in the toolbar folder, if I choose the other it does not and I have no idea where it goes. How do I remove the second twitter location?

After downloading the latest version of Firefox, I was unable to import bookmarks from my earlier version. Therefore, I uninstalled the latest version and am using the former.

Since I can see no advantage of switching to the latest version of Firefox, how can I disable the ever present, annoying reminder to do so.
