Good morning. I’ve noticed that with some themes (like Firefox’s Alpenglow), the top-left corner isn’t rounded, so they clash with the new Nova UI. Does anyone have any suggestions to fix this, or is an update from Firefox needed?

Updated to Firefox 152.0.1 and I've noticed about:privatebrowsing now has a very bright garish (subjective) purple background; I'd like to replace this with something else.

Here's what I've tried so far:

• Adding the css in this 2023 reddit post to my userchrome.css
• Fiddling with about:config, per Ty and James' replies in this similar 2022 question
• As a sanity check, directly editing the style element of the body tag in the inspector to check if `background-color: #424242` the css works. (obviously doesn't stick, see first point)
• As a second sanity check, changing the colour in the userchrome.css to fuchsia, as I'd read in older articles there'd sometimes be a flash of colour before something else was applied and bright pink is easier to see than grey
• Changing the Firefox theme from System theme (Auto) to Dark, Light, and then Firefox Alpenglow to see if that would change the background colour (it doesn't).

I do see that Alpenglow theme now matches about:privatebrowsing shockingly well, but it's not my preferred flavour of utilitarian blacks/dark greys.

Tried to show what I'm after, screenshot of about:privatebrowsing in a split view next to about:newtab. Other than above, the only other things in my userchrome.css are some styles to attempt to return curvy tabs edges.

Help! appearance for fire fox browser changed? out of a sudden I have menu bar tabs above my horizontal saved tabs.how delete this? reduces my screen sight and I do not want this at all. 'See attached screenshot ..ABOVE my saved Tabs with web site logos are tabs in white letters namely : File, Edit, View History and more. I don't want that there; it makes my screen sight smaller. How change this to have them gone from there?

First, apologies if this is the wrong forum. This is about the FF Developer edition browser.

It used to show the browser width counter in the top right corner when you resized it. Now in the latest version I no longer see this. How can I get this back? It's a great feature!

Attached is what it used to look like. I don't know what version it appeared in and which it disappeared in.

Hi, I’ve been having a really weird issue with Firefox’s Browser Toolbox and I’m hoping someone can help me figure out what’s going on. I’ve been using Ctrl+Shift+Alt+I for months to select different parts of Firefox’s UI and change their CSS colors in the Rules panel, and it’s always worked fine for me. Recently, though, my CSS changes stopped affecting the browser UI like they normally did. It seems to happen with different parts of Firefox, including the toolbar, sidebar, and about:preferences.

I’m not very experienced with CSS, so I’m not even sure if the way I’ve been doing this is still correct or if something changed with Firefox recently. I’ve already tried restarting Firefox and reinstalling it, including trying Firefox Developer Edition, but the issue is still there. I also made a completely new PC account, installed Firefox there from scratch, and tested it just to see if the problem was somehow specific to my account or setup, but the exact same thing happened there too.

I’ve tried asking on Reddit’s Firefox CSS community as well. Only two people replied and they both gave me suggestions, but unfortunately neither worked. I’ve also privately messaged people asking if they could give me a guide or help me figure out what I’m doing wrong, but nothing has really helped. I even reported it on Bugzilla, but I still haven’t gotten anywhere with it.

At this point I’m honestly pretty confused and frustrated because I’ve tried so many things and I still can’t figure out what’s causing it. I know it’s not a huge issue, but I really enjoy customizing Firefox, and it sucks opening it up and seeing the boring default UI when I know I could customize it before.

You used to be able to view all of your synced tabs from other devices by going into the toolbar menu > your profile > the device name but I went in today to pull a tab from my phone onto my laptop and it only shows about 5 tabs total. You have to click "see all # tabs" which then opens in the sidebar of the browser. I hate the sidebar, it just does not work well with my brain/visualization needs, and have been doing everything i can to avoid it. Is there a way for me to revert the display settings of synced tabs specifically? As I use them frequently enough that I am going to have to look into changing browsers if I continue to have to utilize the sidebar

I can't find a line to add widgets in my settings. It doesn't exist! I've read several articles as to how to add widgets, but then when I went to look for them in settings, there's no line or box to check for widgets. I have Windows 11 and allow all updates from Firefox, so do you know what the problem is? I do have the weather widget, which was added a while ago, so most likely with an update, but no other widgets on my homepage or in the settings page.

So I found a website that I really want to check frequently so I bookmarked it. The website's favicon is an image of the developers face, and honestly I don't want to see that all the time. I'd like an option to remove/and or change the original favicon to a custom image upload. I also think this is useful if a website doen't have a favicon and you want to add your own. This is just about the bookmarks bar, I don't want to change a favicon for a website everywhere the favicon shows.
