I cannot seem to find what it is called, but only web design related stuff to scrolling.

I'm looking to change the behavior of scrolling bar, that lets me click a point and the page stops at that point, whereas right now, it keeps scrolling to the end/top of the page (based on the direction relative to the starting point). I find the behavior pretty annoying and something that used to be done by the buttons on either end point.

Is this a relic of the past or can i opt-in to it through the config

In firefox when I click "save link as" the link does not change color like it used to be. I am using Firefox version 115.15Oesr because I still use an old computer with windows 7 pro 64 bit.

So, today i opened up my firefox and loaded up youtube; it didn't load. I tried to check my wifi speed on speedtest by ookla...the website didnt work. Then i went to reddit to see if this was a bug affecting everyone anddd that also did not work. So, basically half of the websites that i use do not work right now and i can't figure out why. Everything was fine till yestderday and i havent changed any settings. Also, Wifi speed is not the problem here as i opened up ms edge and everything works.

Hi! I'm developing a web extension. I managed to install it via about:debugging "temporary extensions", and I can see the extension icon under the "puzzle button" in the toolbar.

I now want to pin it to the toolbar, it will save me a click when I'm trying to test things live.

When I click the puzzle button, there is no "pin to toolbar" option for the temporary extension, although I can see it for the extensions installed from the marketplace.

Is there a way to allow pinning for the extensions installed for debugging? Maybe an option in "about:config"?

Hi there - I cannot connect to internet wifi (?) and it has the symbol with the exclamation mark. I am currently connecting to my mobile to use the internet. It's kind of weird? this message will probably go through - even stranger!!! so I can bring up the firefosx page but then not connect to a regular website. pleeeeeeeease help??? thank you!

Favicons seem to be a problem for Firefox, at least on Linux Operating Systems. On multiple distros favicons simply don't show, while they may on Windows. Not trying to dig, but shouldn't this be a pretty basic feature that's expected for a browser no matter what OS is used? Even searching at the forums here for favicons reveals 222 potential threads - one would think that the sheer volume of reports issued for them not functioning correctly would prompt a unified remediation effort. Don't get me wrong, I love Firefox - have used it for decades now across a multitude of OS's - and favicons always used to display properly. Googling this issue will reveal several recommendations of 3rd party addons and tweaks. Can we make favicons just work (again?)

With my previous FF installation, it would remember both the width and the last selection in the sidebar after closing and re-opening FF.

I just formatted and reinstalled windows and now FF simply would not remember the last sidebar condition.

I'm using Windows 10 22H2 and FF 130 64-bit.

Ed - Thanks for that thread. Since I posted my question originally (and can't find where just now) I did try one add-on called STOP AUTO RELOAD by kgersen and I'm trying that. I couldn't understand how to add the particular address I wanted to use it on, but it's helping on FB without having entered FB's addy. Most of the time it stops the refresh. If I leave it too long tho, when I come back it does refresh, but at least it isn't refreshing while I'm trying to read it. The annoying blue label "refresh" still comes on my page, but I ignore it.

I receive a daily email from the Toronto Star with brief summaries of current news stories. The summaries include a link that opens the complete article in Firefox (or other browsers).

When I open the full article in Firefox, the article stops at an advertisement (which does not display). The ad includes the wording "Story continues below", but it does not; instead it goes to the end of the article.

When I open the same article in Chrome, the article opens properly.

I am attaching screen shots of the two browsers. I tried manually collecting the Data as well, but it extends to 80 p. I can save it in Word, then convert to a PDF file in Adobe Acrobat, but I cannot convert the file to a .JPEG and attach it. I am happy to send a copy of the Word file; just ask

I have made a page with a stack of z-indexed .heic images. The viewer clicks (jQuery) on the top image to reveal the next.

The page is local, not online. I'm on a Mac mini 2018, OS Ventura 13.6.1, Firefox 13.0.

Safari renders the operation correctly. Firefox fails to load the .heic images. Chrome also fails to load the images.

Any suggestions welcome. My 83yo brain sometimes misses things. cheers Chris

I'm totally fed up with this! I got this particular one trying to go to Amazon via a link from search but it's happening constantly with links from search and from other sites that I'm on. I am on Amazon a lot. I don't know what this behavior is, where it's coming from, why it's happening, or how to stop it. I'm at the point of just uninstalling Firefox because of it. I've tried the common fixes such as clearing cache and cookies as well as all saved data and it still persists. Firefox has been my default browser for a very long time but if this can't be stopped permanently, I'm done with it!

Only way I can gain access is through my stand alone computer. I no longer have a hand-held computer. So can we work through our problem via my computer. Otherwise, I don't know what to do. Hi, I have always used my Firefox browser to access my bank accounts, one being my private account and the other for my company account. I noticed however last week that I could not log in to my company account but I had no problem logging in to my private account. I contacted the bank ( Handelsbank in Sweden) who were surprised but said that this problem may occasionally arise with the Firefox browser. (However it has never happened before to me over the last 10 years!) Is this a temporary glitch or do I have to switch to another browser?!
