There used to be an option for a separate search window on the address bar. I found it really useful especially for a instant spell check. The option was there then after an update, it wasn't. WHY WHY WHY????? Is there any way for me to put it back? I hate using the address bar to search! Unless I open a new tab or window, regaining control of the prior tab/window is difficult.

Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra running latest Android update and latest Firefox update. I set Firefox as my default browser. I have un-installed all updates for Samsung Internet and removed all permissions for it. Disabling it is greyed out. Some apps that I use have links to websites. Too frequently, when I go to one of those links, the intro screen for Samsung Internet opens. Then, when I look at the settings in Firefox it is no longer set as the default. Then I set Firefox to default and go to my phone settings to see that Firefox is selected as the default. If I open the previously mentioned app and choose the web link, Firefox will open. But somewhere along the way, the default changes back to Samsung Internet and it's a vicious circle. I have posted in a Samsung forum but haven't gotten a reply that solved the problem. Please help. My emails have stopped coming through and the notification boxes state that the username and password are invalid, although nothing has been changed.

As stated in the subject line. I go to open an email and it goes dime and I get a hourglass. All I can do is shut down the program. After a while I can reopen it but it happens again and again. I deleted the program and reinstalled it with no improvement.

It just did it while I had the troubleshooting tab open

Since 1 October (yesterday) my Thunderbird suddenly can't connect to the Hotmail server anymore to get my wilderconsulting@outlook.com emails. It keeps asking for my password. I can find them on Microsoft MAIL, but Thunderbird normally allows me to have quick and organized access to all my 5 email accounts. Please help. Jan GrootWassink Cobble Hill, BC, Canada C. I have Windows 10. I am using Bitdefender. Thunderbird 128.2.3 est (64 bit).

When I attach a file to an email, Thunderbird crashes. This happens eventhough the file is well below the maximum allowed.

Up to approx. two weeks ago when it happened I could just restart and it would work. Since last week it does not work at all. It will not accept any attachment.

I have long had Thunderbird configured the way I like it on Windows 10 - a folder browser on the left, a listbox with one text line per email along the top, and the majority of the window showing the currently-selected window. Each entry in the listbox has multiple columns, with subject, sender, date, etc.

The individual items within the listbox on Windows 11 are very wide - the same-size pane that showed ten emails now shows only three. (the folder browser pane is also now only as tall as the email pane instead of being the whole left side.) And it's not arranged in columns; the subject and sender stack atop one another and htere's a blank line beneath them; no column headings or column-click-to-sort. It's now intolerable to browse.

Yes, I have a cluttered inbox and many cluttered folders. But I would like to see a dozen emails at a time, not three or four, and have column headings I can use to sort email easily. Is there any way to force the email list to be a traditional compact listbox on Windows 11, or is this simply a Win11 system interface choice we can't do anything about?

as support told me to do, - here again this issue i have a email address connected to Thunderbird with outlook server and ( microsoft 365 outlook server) and msn mail address ( set as standard) but i also have a mail address connected for a own site online i made serif webplus software it was always working perfect,, till beginning september 2024 then i went VERY slow to get mail in mailbox i needed to ask to reseave 3-4 times and it took 5 to 10 minutes,, and after 19 september NOTHING came in again what ever i tryed - so i deleted all and install all again, i made all settings and firewall too - restarted but again nothing worked,, only sending worked with error that they send but not made a copy into the sendbox how can we fix the reseaving mail? i tryed many times to contact microsoft / outlook and mozilla/firefox but never got good easy understandable answers only links to some pages or forums i am no computer expert so some i do not understand or know where to find things, but i got 1 who answerd me and told me all should be the problem of the server company,, how and when can THEY fix the problem? or give me a refund for not able to use there services? answers please to konijn60@msn.com

Since the upgrade several days ago, I have not been able to select my saved password on some pages, instead I always see "Use strong password" to create a new one. I have not changed my password or anything, and can still see my account information in the saved passwords setting. How can I recover the way to input my password?

Apparently, if there are input boxes for both a username and a password on the page, my account is automatically set as before. Meanwhile, if there is only a password box, Firefox does not allow me to select my saved password.
