Ok this latest UI appearance change is absolute dog feces. I hate it so much! It's so ugly! How do I change it back? I did not consent for my eyeballs to be assaulted like this. Did I mention it sucks? How do I change it back? 157.0.0.11

Recently I updated to Firefox 157 and expected the newer New Tab UI to appear, with widgets and the like. But instead, it is displaying the older New Tab UI, without the new widgets. I don't want to create a new profile and have to start over with all my extensions and the like so what can be done in this case?

Hi, I'd like to remove the rounded corners ( they are too big) everywhere in the Firefox browser. The suggestions I've found online aren't helping me. Do you have a solution for beginners?

I have set up rules to move messages from the inbox to saved folders. There are some messages which remained in the Inbox and I have read but not moved to saved folders. There are other read messages which remain in the Inbox. The count of messages in the Inbox (and all folders as well) does not match the number of messages displayed. I am attaching a screenshot showing there are 2 messages displayed in my Inbox, but showing a count of 7 messages. I know there is at least one of the "missing" messages which I need to move manually to another folder, but how do I see those "missing" messages?

I use Thunderbird expluicitly because it is open source application not bound to any specific services. I am very dissapointed to find connection to "thundermail" build into application and WANT IT PHYSICALLY REMOVE from it.

I kindly ask to help in removing it from my copies of Thunderbird. Thank you.

Firefox just updated to 157.0 and will no longer open PDFs in a default viewer even when I change the settings. My setting say they are set to open in Mac Viewer, but continue to open in browser. I even tried to set it to open in Adobe still opens in my browser.

An update was just applied that moves my Tabs back back to the top of the window. I do not want this, but the option to move them below has gone. The only options are 'On top' or 'On the side'. I want 'below bookmarks toolbar'.

The Tabs themselves also now have an ugly bubble around them that takes up too much space, and the tabs bar itself is twice as tall as it was before, with a load of wasted space around it. Please get rid of the bubble, shrink the bar, and stop using up more space than is necessary.

Please just undo whatever the last patch did.

I start FF in safe-mode. I open a local page which includes only one URL. When I hover on this link I see (`tcpdump`) a DNS lookup being performed for this domain. I followed the suggestions from Mozilla but I still see this.

How do I stop this access.

I use FF "156.0 (64-bit)" on Fedora 44.

Hi, hoping someone could help as I am struggling to get my information back. I am using Ubuntu Cinnamon.

Thunderbird crashed last night, wouldn't work, tried safe mode. Nothing fixed it. It hung when opening up and after 30 seconds said force quit. So I was forced to reinstall. I did a manual backup but not using the inbuilt tool as I couldn't get into Thunderbird. I just copied the data from username/.thunderbird

After spending a long time uninstalling. Because it reached 78% and then crashed on uninstall. Eventually after reading various pages on the internet I managed to reinstall from the Ubuntu software manager using the latest snap version. (Which I am not sure was what was actually installed previously).

However having used thunderbird for nearly 20 years or so. I have a username/.thunderbird folder. And when I moved to this platform, I have a snap/thunderbird/common/.thunderbird folder.

I installed this new distro 2 years ago, and remember having issues getting my data into the system under Snap. But eventually got it to work somehow back then.

However since reinstalling I cannot see the last 2 years of emails, archives or data. It has launched into a 2 year old profile. I appear to have lost most of the emails from the archive folders (but kept the folders) removed all of the personal folders but then dumped all those emails into my inbox. Giving me 6500 emails that were in various personal folders. (I don't get 6500 emails in a year so don't know what has happened.) It has even changed all of the new dates to the US format, so nothing makes any sense.

I now have 2 Thunderbird profiles, over 12GB in size. And have apparently lost 2 years of my life. But reading support pages, suggests I should be okay because thunderbird doesn't delete data when you reinstall?

I have looked through various other threads which talk about pointing it at the profiles and mail boxes, however nothing works.

Any help much needed.

When I do the New York Times Crossword on line it all works until I start to solve the clues at the bottom of the puzzle. When I get towards the bottom after one key stroke the screen jumps back up to the top of the puzzle. I have tried it in Chrome, and it works as normal. this is Firefox only.

Regarding FF v157:

- Mozilla have changed the Graphical user interface of Firefox without asking for consent or providing a clear way to revert back to the old interface, yet again. - They have made changes to the settings, so pre-installed search engines can only be toggled off and NOT removed... - There are a bunch of themes now pre-installed that can't be removed.

I think pushing a change without over way to revert, is why I a lot of people don't donate to the Mozilla foundation

How could you change my tab bar to this awful rounded, non-dark, purple orange gradient with atrocious looking outlines?

Why would you change something that has worked for years. Please bring back square tabs. Even in compact mode the tabs still look terrible and there's no option to put this back.

How could you do this? I'm having reading my tab bar at this point with the gradient. I shouldn't have to install third party add-ons or themes to make it work like it has for years.
