I'm using Thunderbird from a little time anmd I have a problem with "Unified Folders" After installing it, I added my 10 accounts one by one and found out a problem. Simply Thunderbird doesn't want more than 1 "yahoo" account. I can enter even 15 accounts and Thunderbird can manage all the accounts with "Unified Folders" without problems and I see all the accounts. But if I were to add another "yahoo" account, Thunderbird no longer handles it with "Unified Folders". In fact it disappears and I only see it again if I activate "All Folders". I can't understand why. Maybe I need to setup something on yahoo? Can I solve this problem? Thanks PS: I speak italian.

I noticed that somewhat recently the way new tab loooks has changed.

I always liked having it zoomed in, but I noticed that now when I zoom it in - it focuses on the empty space above tiles, which makes no sense to me. Ideally I would want the firefox logo to always be on top to get rid of the empty space and show more tiles.

This pretty much summarizes the issue, I hope it makes sense. Included a screenshot of what I am taking about.

Hi , I am using the MacBook Pro M5 which is running with macOS Tahoe 26.5 . I have installed Thunderbird mail with version 150.0.2 . After the initial installation with only one account with few mails in the inbox I found the App opening time is abnormally high & is more than 1 minutes . I have removed the mail App few times & re installed it ( even I have re download the app from net again) , but the problem remain same .

I have removed the old folder & files from - ~/Library/Thunderbird/ , ~/Library/Application Support/Thunderbird/ , ~/Library/Caches/Thunderbird/ , org.mozilla.thunderbird from ~/Library/Preferences/. before the re installation & re started the laptop , but no improvement in results .

Also in mail setting references → Unchecked the option - Enable Global Search and Indexer Disable all Extensions and Themes under Tools → Add‑ons & Themes (No Extensions is installed) .

Just to inform that the apple mail is working fine in this laptop .

After all the above trails the results are same , the app once quit & re start - it takes around 1.5 minutes to open after which the app works normally with out any problem . Please suggest if any solution is available for this problem . Best Regards Gautam Banerjee

I have been using Thunderbird for many years. Recently I did a factory reset on my Galaxy AO5s mobile. When I tried to re-install Thunderbird it would not download from 'Play Store'. It asked me to confirm my age - it is actually 92! but then I could'nt installl it. Please help!

I have folders designated A-G, H-Q, etc. and in those folders are subfolders. The A-G folder displays as though it is in Italic font and I cannot move a folder into it.

Noticed the issue yesterday (5/21/2026) . My tabs were not what I had when I closed it the night before but from several hours earlier .

I googled for some help and was told to go , Help>More troubleshooting information> Profile Folder>sessionstore-backups and look for the backup I want , and rename as sessionstore.jsonlz4 (deleting the old one) . That did not work so as a temp fix I am using the session manager extension. 

How to fix this ?

I just got a new computer and when I download e-mail on to my computer, it stays on the web site and when I get e-mail later that day, the previous e-mails I downloaded are still there and they are now duplicated on my hard drive. I get hundreds of e-mails per day and besides being a hastle, I will reach my quota pretty quickly. Thank you. X@riseup.net

Since this didn't happen with my previous computer, I assume some setting got changed. I hope this is one of those easy-when-you-know-how things.

How to set up mail verification in the app. I need it every minute. It costs at least 15 minutes. Ver. 18.0 In the web version, you can select starting from 1 minute.

System:

Win 11 Home (lastest updates, also my notebook's latest updates from the manufacturer) Thunderbird version 151.0

Okay, this is a multiple clusterf#@$.

I ended up needing to do a Win 11 Home "reset" keeping data. But I needed to back up some files first. But my back up drive was full. Usually, it's because of EaseUs ToDo not deleting files and just adding and adding to the system backup. But that wasn't the main issue: my Thunderbird profile (which I backup separately) was about 280 GIGABYTES in size! This is an extension of a prior problem for which nobody on here new how to solve and certainly nobody from Mozilla chimed in to help. So I did what I'd done before (but it'd never been like this) and delected a couple of THOUSAND seemingly redundant iterations of files from my profile, but NONE of the folders inside the profile.

Of course the Win11 reset deleted Thunderbird and all the profile information. No big problem, I've done this before...but it didn't work copying in all of the old files (from my backup drive) into a new profile and selecting that profile to boot. So, I went to the "Recycle Bin", undeleted all of those files back into my backed-up profile. But I'm only able to get Thunderbird to see all of my address book information. It is not finding my Thunderbird and email account settings nor my email messages (21 years worth). I 100% did NOT delete my email messages (c:\users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Thunderbird\Profiles\PROFILENAME\Mail).

I can laboriously redo my email account information (five different accounts) and Thunderbird user settings, but I really DESPERATELY NEED HELP restoring my email messages.

PLEASE PLEASE HELP ME!

As the topic says, the message list turned from the usual dark-mode look, to a full black background after updating to 151.0.

Was this an intentional change? How can I revert it?

151.0.1 (64-bit) on Windows 10 64 bit, both up to date. With the 5 extensions that I have firefox is essentially unusable, taking in excess of 5 minutes to open a website. Considering the array of browsers available today (I could list 12 that are also installed on my device) and Mozilla seem to be hell bent on ignoring the fact that the browser is unusable with extensions (as indicated by the number of people highlighting issues, yet solution provided as opening the browser in safe mode with extensions disabled) why I, or anyone else that is using even one extension, persists with FF?

Well, the 7 minutes has passed and duckduckgo dot com has finally opened, so I shall be on my merry, strike that, miserable way.
