On a Mac, Firefox 4 is a 64 bit application.
Not all plugins support 64 bit and if not then you need to start Firefox in 32 bit mode to use that plugin.

  1. Close Firefox
  2. Start the Finder and open the Applications folder
  3. Right click or control-click the Firefox.app icon
  4. Select "Get Info"
  5. Select or Deselect "Open in 32-bit mode"
  6. Close the "Firefox Info" window
  7. Restart Firefox

Why should I have to restart Firefox everytime I want to do something? I really, really really liked Firefox 3. But ever since they 'upgraded' to Firefox 4 and 5, it's been one thing after another. I can no longer do on-line banking. Everytime I want to watch a video clip I have to restart in 32-bit mode. Half the time I can't get into my e-mail account(s)....it's just one thing after another, and frankly I am fed up with it. I'm going back to Safari. Firefox 4 and 5 are a Humongous Hemmorhoid to use. Let me know when you guys finally upgrade Firefox 3 and I may give you another shot. . . .we'll see.
