websites do not open in firefox

iMac crashed while firefox was open. I've reinstalled firefox, deleted the caches and history, deleted user data.

Launched firefox to what seems to be a clean version (had to sign in, also not bookmarks showing.

Launch is quick. However, websites, such as google.com will not open. No error message, just little dots at the top of the tab going back and forth, then nothing.

Other browsers are able to open websites (I'm using Chrome to access this).
