Shift + ENTER on text boxes is not working consistently

Trying to send multi line messages in WhatsApp for Web is not working as expected. From my tests, most of the times after pressing Shift + ENTER the cursor will not move to the next line (strangely, sometimes it works). And this will make the user to press again Shift + ENTER. Now the cursor finally is on the second line, as it should have been after the first try. But when starting to write, an empty line appears, which means the first new line command actually worked, it was there but was invisible and showing up only after starting to type "normal" characters.

Steps to reproduce: 1. write something, for example "line 1" 2. press Shift ENTER (cursor is still on the first line) 3. press again Shift ENTER (cursor finally moves to the second line) 4. write again, for example "line 2" (this new text will jump to another line)

So instead of: > line 1 > line 2

We will have: > line 1 > > line 2

PS: Tested in Chrome and Edge and in both is working perfectly. The problem can be reproduced only in Firefox (version 94.0.1 64bit).
