Why this happens
Apple is removing support for Rosetta, which allowed older apps built for Intel-based Macs to run on Apple Silicon devices (such as M1, M2, and newer).
Very old versions of Mozilla VPN (from 2023 and earlier) rely on Rosetta. On newer versions of macOS, these very old Mozilla VPN versions may no longer open.
Update Mozilla VPN to fix the issue
The most reliable fix is to install the latest version of Mozilla VPN.
- Go to the Mozilla VPN download page.
- Download the latest version.
- Open the downloaded file.
- Drag Mozilla VPN into the folder.
- Replace the existing version if prompted.
- Open Mozilla VPN.
All recent versions run natively on Apple Silicon and does not require Rosetta.
