trying to sync all my bookmarks and passwords to Firefox

I upgraded my phone today it's been 3 years since I had a new phone. The problem I'm having is logging in to Firefox sync to sync my bookmarks and passwords to sync to this new phone. Firefox keeps sending me that email confirmation code but then it won't take it it just keeps buffering why? I also for several hours earlier tonight had trouble signing into Firefox Firefox kept telling me I had the wrong password and no I did not I keep running card file on all my passwords I'm very meticulous. It worked just fine 6 hours ago with my old phone that I upgraded with this one I'm not very good with technology I would appreciate anybody telling me what's going on I must be doing something wrong thank you very much
