Inspector is not working Firefox Developer Edition v.78 or 63

I was trying to use the inspector in developer tools on the Firefox Developer Edition. It does not really work. It can find the first object you move to and after that as you move the cursor around the website you are trying to locate elements on, it just stops working. I was using version 63, so I updated to the latest version 78.0b9 and the same problem exists. This is consistent across multiple websites. I find this odd because the regular Firefox Developer Tools do not have this problem. I think it is a bug. Can someone please confirm this. I do not think it is possible I am doing something wrong. Somehow I thought the Developer Edition might have even better, more powerful tools, but I am finding it does not even really work. Can anyone help fix it? I would not have the time right now to come up to speed to help the team fix it, myself.

My environment is Mac OS High Sierra.
