Downloading email ok until a few days ago. Now I get "Failed to connect to server inbound.att.net"
Tried changing from Port 995 to 25 as suggested for settings for att.net but that didn't seem to help anything.

Have you setup a secure key as ATT now requires? https://www.att.com/esupport/article.html#!/email-support/KM1240308?gsi=Ox7pvNg

I was able to set up a Secure Mail Key in att.net but need help in setting the password in TB to the Secure Mail Key
Go to Options-Security-Passwords-Saved Passwords Click Show Passwords Right click the password and select Edit. Replace your normal password with the new key you created.
When I click Show Passwords and get the Saved Logins screen, there is nothing in the box but Site and Username and a search box, with no indication of what to search for.
Did you click the button labeled SHOW PASSWORDS? If not, try that.
If you re-read my previous email you will see that it starts with "When I click Show Passwords..."
Oh I read your comment just fine, but a column with the existing saved passwords should appear when you click the button. Since you list the columns that show before you click the button I had to ask. See image.
What version of Thunderbird are you using?
When this problem first occurred, one of the suggestions that I read was to delete the passwords and then, when prompted in downloading email, to re-enter the passwords. When I deleted the passwords, the only thing left in the box were Site and Username. I am using TB ver 52.9.1 (32 bit). I appreciate you help.
What anti virus product? Some of them silently "manage" you passwords "for your security" and make a fine mess of it in the process.
Does your anti virus have a password vault or password manager of any sort?
We use Windows Defender and don't have a problem with any other programs, just TB
How do I input a Secure Mail Key into the attached image?
I assume that since I have had no response to my problem, there is no one who knows how to input an account and secure mail key.
You received no answer because you would put it in when asked for the password. Given you have no passwords saved in Thunderbird you will be asked for every connection attempt.
If you are not asked that will be because the prompt does not get to Thunderbird. This is very common when anti virus programs completely take over your computer like a virus. in such circumstances refer to the documentation supplies by the anti virus vendor on how then break you system by storing passwords and password prompts somewhere other than Thunderbird.
Nortons in particularly has a bad habit of offering non functional passwords over and over and never prompting for a new password.
