Sent mail (in 1of 3 addresses) does not showunless I search , eg. for "e", when it finds numerous sent emails.

Have used thunderbird for a ycouple of years. various imap accounts. my main account seems to hide all "sent" mail there are 2 sent boxes (Sent Mail & Sent) because of another device using a different name. Suddenly the "Sent" mail does not display. If I search the apparently empty "Sent" for just one character up come sent emails.
