My Account Settings are missing but I have all of my folders.
I'm running 52.4.0. When I go to Account Setting from the Tools tab, my settings have disappeared. I'm only given an Account Actions dropdown that only offers adding or deleting accounts. I have fairly recent backups that would permit me to restore selected files, if that would help. I have all of my folders and, otherwise, Thunderbird is okay, downloading new emails, sending emails, etc.

Does problem go away if you start Thunderbird in safe mode?

Tools > Account Settings works perfectly in Thunderbird Safe Mode but, when I return to normal mode, the problem returns. What do you recommend that I do now?

Suggest you test to see which (if any) of your addon extension is causing a conflict. Enable your addons one at a time, restarting Thunderbird each time and testing. Please post info on addon extensions, which is located here: 'Help ' > 'Troubleshooting Information'
Provide feedback on results.

uncheck the checkbox : 'Use hardware acceleration when available' click on OK
Report back on results.
Please also check tools > developer tools > error console just before, and then immediately after visiting account settings. What do you see in the console that is new?

I. I tried Toad Hall's suggestion. I had no problem doing it, but it didn't help. 2. I tried Wayne Mery's suggestion. The error console was empty before and after visiting account settings.

I contacted a developer who indicated something in your profile may be causing accounts settings to not work. I will send you a private message about that.

With Thunderbird shut down, in your Thunderbird profile delete the extensions directory and extensions.sqlite file and restart. Any improvement?
Wayne, I deleted the directory and file and restarted -- no improvement. If I uninstalled/reinstalled Thunderbird, could I retain my folders/files and perhaps fix the problem?
Launch in safe mode, check 'Reset toolbars and controls', then click 'Make changes and restart'. Any difference?
