In IMAP mode how do I stop automatic downloads of my new emails from the server
In POP mode there is a setting that allows the user to stop emails from being loaded from the server upon sign in. How do I obtain the same function in IMAP mode?

Same setting same location but disable the immediate notification setting below the get mail setting.

Went to account settings under "tools",opened "server settings". No "get mail" or " immediate notification" evident. So ---- Maybe I'm not in the right setting area??? Any ideas? Grateful for yr help!!
