This issue has been present in Firefox for other people but I can't figure out how to apply Firefox solution in Thunderbird. Here's the screenshot. I should also add that it is like that since fresh installation which is odd.

Not sure, but it is a starting point.

Done. But it didn't solve the problem. It wasn't under Genetal tab but under Network and disk space.

Even when searching for add-ons manually I can't install them so it's not just a visual error.

I am assuming really that the issue is that the style sheet is not loading. I can guess at a couple of reasons, but a reinstall might be a good start.

What anti virus are you using? Does it help to create an exception for the Thunderbird profile folder in that product?

I'd really prefer not to reinstall it since I have a list of e-mail boxes and it already took me a while to set them all up. Is there a way to back my settings up and then just import them after re-installation?

I am using Kaspersky AV, will try disabling it. If it helps, will create exceptions in its settings.

Update: disabling AV didn't work. I guess I'll have to re-install Thunderbird T_T

Still have that same question: Is there a way to back my settings up and then just import them after re-installation?

Your account setting are stored separately from the program. when you reinstall it just picks up where you left off. It is also why you do not see it as a "fix" suggested very often, it is just possible that the fix here might be the program and it's files, not your setting or I would not suggest it at all.

Looking back over this thread. It does not appear you have tried safe mode (restart with add-ons disabled from the help menu). I suggest you try that first in case the issue is an add-on or a graphics issue.

Safe mode didn't help.

For the sake of it, i've checked my profile folder to back it up. It weights 3 gigs for some reason O_O. Does it save all my attachments from history or something? I've been using thunderbird for only 2 days.

Re-installing didn't help either. I'm glad it didn't screw with my settings.
