Hi! Using Firefox, a large part of my work each day is filling out forms online. It used to be that if I had focused on a drop down element (an HTML <select> element) and hit an arrow key on my keyboard, it would select the next or previous option in that drop down list. Firefox automatically updated recently, and I noticed that they changed the drop down list behavior. Now if I have focus on the drop down list, and I hit an arrow key to select the next/previous item, instead of just selecting the next/previous item, it displays the drop-down list, and requires an additional keystroke to accomplish the same thing. My question is: is there an option in the advanced settings anywhere to restore this behavior to the way it used to be? This change seems absolutely pointless being that you can simply show the drop-down list with the space bar if you need to, but now users who just want to increment the drop-down value cannot do so without taking an additional action. This change has proven to be a needless hindrance to my productivity. I'm willing to install additional software if that's what's required to fix this change. I've attached an image that describes how it used to behave (and how I would like it to behave) in comparison with how it behaves since this recent update.
