Hi, I recently bought a new phone and was trying to sign in to Firefox on Android. However, after entering my password, it told me to enter the code from my authenticator app. I do not use an authenticator app for anything besides my university account, as I prefer to receive 2FA codes via text. I also do not recall setting Firefox up to use 2FA. Now, I am logged out of the account on all my devices as they ask for a code in an app I do not have access to nor recall setting up. I hope there is a way for you to help me beyond deleting my account, as I'd prefer not to lose my bookmarks. Regards, Seán

Hello, needed to change 2FA. As the related popup mentioned, a security code was sent to my primary email to be entered within a couple of minutes. However, it wasn't sent to the primary email, but instead to the secondary email. I used the code sent the secondary email, so the process worked in the end, but only because I had noticed that a new Mozilla mail had arrived at my secondary email. If I had not noticed, the time limit had passed, and I had not been able to update my 2FA. Please kindly advice Greetings

I’m having trouble signing in to my Mozilla account because I’m not receiving the two-factor authentication code. Two-step authentication is enabled on my account, but the code I need to complete sign-in is not arriving.

I login follow prompts, I have to sign out of phone to get things to work also. but because you have to go into authenticator app to verify, by the time you come back to verify it has failed. I have done this several times, but with no avail! What can be done about this situation, yes i have tried login with email, but still get the same issue.

Hello, the QR-CODE that i scan with my cellphone for the 2 authentify wont work i have google authentify i think mabye it couse be need the time to actuell this progress of update that the code funktion funktions . I am not receiving the codes to activate 2 steps authentication. I tried to a few time but in vain. I have whitelisted in our system accounts@firefox.com email address and also added it as a contact but still the same. Is there any other ways I could get this to work?

I created a Gmail account so I could use it to sync my mozilla browser but I tried to you it too quickly and it was temporarily blocked by google.

I submitted an appeal and they unblocked it, but since then I have been unable to receive any verification codes that are sent to that email address.

I assume it's on some kind of list that is suppressing being able to send to it.

I have a new iphone 17 and the Firefox app doesn't have any of my passwords from my online account. on the iphone Mozilla firefox asks for a 6 digit authenticator code to sync my data and passwords, but the microsoft authenticator generates an 8 digit code? I've tried scanning the QR code on my desktop web mozilla firefox account but it then asks me to enter the 6 digit code from authenticator, but I'm getting an 8 digit code from microsoft autheticator. I really need to sync my passwords from Firefox web account to my iphone firefox app.
