Yesterday I upgraded my PC from Windows 10 to 11. Today I discovered my Local Folders are not visible. Searching tells me the messages still exist, but TB does not show the folders. I did the same upgrade a month ago on a laptop (Windows 10 Pro to 11), no problems. I didn't externally back up the messages as I am a dinosaur and don't know how, but at least they are still on the hard drive. Thousands of them though so I need the local folders back. Tried all the fixes I can find on the Community Forum, without success. Can anyone help please? Bob

It has re-occurred to my Firefox Browser of the latest version of 115.28 with some websites which I have recently visited however which have appeared 8 grids of blank or white pages again under "Recent Activity" as attached with the image for your technical troubleshooting suggestion.

Those 8 grids of Recent Activity in the older version of Firefox browsers used to have shown colorful graphics or images representative of the recent websites I visited in the recent past.

May I know what I am supposed to do to recover those graphics or images?

Kindly offer any suggestion or solution?

I would like help removing one of the folders called drafts as it is empty and uses the other for subfolders. I have tried right clicking but it has no effect on removing it. Only the draft folder where the subfolders are located can be removed. How do I remove the extra draft folder. Thanks in advance for your help.

Every time I restart my Firefox browsers they will sign me out of my Mozilla account. I can see the email address associated with my account and 'Account disconnected'. I have to go through the process again every time I use it. I am using default privacy & security settings.

I am using :

I'm in the process of cleaning up Thunderbird e-mail before moving to a new computer. I started with 11,593 e-mails in my Inbox and 7,799 e-mails in my Sent folder. I'm now down to 7,634 in my Inbox and 4,965 in my Sent folder. I've allocated 2 weeks for this process and found that it's taking me about 3 hours per day to meet my daily goals. I'm finding that I'm spending at LEAST half the time responding to "Empty-Trash/Compact-folders" requests. There are times I can delete 50 e-mails at a time without getting a request. Other times I will try to delete ten e-mails and get the request. With the old version of Thunderbird I could literally delete hundreds of e-mails at a time. Can you help? Russ Bukwa Yardley, PA ps. I have just completed migrating my files and settings from my (not so) old windows 10 desktop computer to my windows 11 laptop. Everything seems to have gone ok, except that the Firefox bookmarks were installed and only work in the private browsing window. When I start Firefox normally, the window that opens does not have the bookmarks, and even if I enter a web address manually in this window, it will not connect. I can choose "New window" in the drop down menu and that window will have the bookmarks, but still will not connect. The only way to get the bookmarks and also be able to connect to the internet is to choose "New private window" from the drop down menu. The problem with that is that there have been occasions when I have had a need to examine my browsing history, which I can't do since Firefox doesn't save the history when in private window mode. I have tried the procedure to sync bookmarks, history, etc., but the procedure is somewhat confusing and didn't work for me. Can you simplify the procedure for me? Thanks, John Blakley

Hi, I've been using tab groups for a while and i had some pretty important tabs save there. I wanted to know if they get deleted after a while or not, Because all of mine suddenly disappeared. And also is there anyway to get them back?

HI all. This is a good one. I recently got a MAC, my first one, so dont know much about it. I installed thunderbird and can receive via IMAP but cant send via SMTP. I have smtp setup EXACTLY how it is on my windows PC which works. When I hit send on a message, it immediately comes back with "Sending of the message failed. The message could not be sent because the connection to Outgoing server (SMTP) <maileserver.com> timed out. Try again. This message comes back immediately, as in .000001 second. This particular mail server I own and is on my network, and checking the logs, the request never even gets to the server, so its not a server issue. (Again, it works for all my other devices and other clients). server info, password etc are correct. I tried deleting the account and recreating it but no go. From a command tool, I can telnet to my mail server on port 25 and it answers and I can interact. If I use the built in mac mail client, it works fine. So this is definitely a thunderbird issue from what I can tell. Thunderbird 143.0.1 (aarch64) on 26.0.1 (25A362) Any tips appreciated, Im ready to take a bath with a toaster. Thank you!

On all our computers it seems impossible to sign into Outlook...several laptops and 3 desktop...even a new Apple device. Enter your email address and then taken to the next page (see attachment). sign in works with Edge! This has been happening for maybe a month. Very frustrating! NEVER opens the next security window, the 'spots' just keep moving forever...selecting "Back" just repeats the cycle.

Since the recent Firefox upgrades, I am no longer able to log into the social security site using ID me. Previously, I logged in with no problem but now get a 400 error message saying the website is too large. Of course I have emptied cache and cookies and reloaded Firefox but nothing works. Apparently the error lies within the Firefox upgrade since before upgrading, there never was a problem logging in.

Can the notification for upgrading be controlled on ver 143 on linux. It keeps appearing and as a user I should be able to silience or have it notify me at a period I prefer instead of interrupting browsing.

Using version 143 PIP does not work on different workspaces. If I open PIP the PIP only remains on the desktop that FF is on and the PIP disappears on othe workspaces.

thunderbird won't start after installation giving message that a version is already running. I end the task in task manager and it doesn't help, then restart with same erro. I tried deleting the parent.lock file from the profile and that didn't help. What next? Has anyone solved this issue?

The issue started about one week ago (today is 10/11/25). When I wanted to print while in Firefox browser, the print never executed. Instead the screen froze as did the browser. I had to do some experimenting to use my pointer and open a different browser. Yes - besides the pointer being frozen (all that showed was an hourglass) my keyboard was also frozen. When I finally opened a different browser and printed the same item, no problem. I had to close Firefox to be able to fully use my laptop again. I searched the solutions and none had an effect. Firefox would still freeze/hang/lock up when trying to print. The browser is up to date.

In one of my Firefox installs, the Profiler automatically starts recording every time I open Firefox. There's a button on the right that looks like a speedometer and it is blue until I tell it to stop. Then it is taskbar button color.

Profiler instructions at https://profiler.firefox.com/docs/#/./guide-removing-profiler say to simply drag this button off the toolbar and it will stop record. On restart, it's back on the toolbar, and it's recording.

I have tried refreshing Firefox. Doesn't help.

I have tried deleting prefs.js. Doesn't help.

I have tried opening up the developer console, opening settings, and unchecking "performance." Doesn't help.

I searched the registry and found a key called MOZ_ENABLE_PROFILER (iirc, something like that). I set it to zero. Doesn't help. I then deleted the key entirely. Doesn't help.

How do I get rid of this thing? It must be a registry setting of some kind, as it appears in whatever Windows account I open Firefox from, but I can't find it. It is deeply frustrating as the computer it is happening on is my oldest computer, and I don't want a recorder running in addition to Firefox.
