I had Verizon (e-mail) and now have a "g-mail" account. I am unable to forward messages or photos out due to I no longer have a Verizon account and Mozilla-thunderbird? apparently only recognizes my Verizon account and not the g-mail account. How do I fix this?

You'll need to set-up your Gmail account in Thunderbird. Run the new account wizard, it will pick the correct server settings automatically.
