Hey.

I tried to implement the gecko engine, following this tutorial: https://wiki.mozilla.org/Embedding/NewApi/GtkLinux

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to install the required package "xulrunner-1.9-dev", because it is no longer available at Ubuntu 12.04.

I solved the problem by manually downloading the XULRunner and installing it. Hope, xulrunner-dev will be back in the ubuntu repositories soon.
