since downloading Firefox 5-Java script is disabled and I can't do certain things
since I downloaded Firefox 5-when Java script is needed to provide something it says I do not have Java script--how do I remedy this problem? I use this for games on Facebook etc.

Javascript is enabled or disabled as a user option.
If on this forum where you post replies you are able to see the formatting options

then you have javascript enabled.
- to enable javascript use Firefox button -> Options -> Content

- note javascript is a different beast to java
- Javascript is not java (Mozillazine kb)
- note some Mac users may need to downgrade to firefox 3.6 to use java see /questions/845600
