E-mail problems with bellsouth.net after TB update
Hello,
I am running Thunderbird 115.13.0 and cannot get e-mail from my bellsouth.net account on my MacBook Pro #6 computer. I get the error messages below. I have another MacBook Pro #5 running Thunderbird 102.15.1 that is receiving e-mails just fine. As far as I can see the server settings on the two computers are the same. Any advice about how to proceed? Thanks for any ideas.

I suggest you try generating a new mailkey instead of your password and see if that is the issue. https://www.att.com/support/article/email-support/KM1240308/
AT&T requires unique secure keys for each computer, even if it's the same account on each one.
Thank you Matt and sfhowes for your replies. I will think some more about the AT&T secure keys for each computer as I am trying to move away from using bellsouth.net - att.net - yahoo accounts as they have always been troublesome. (I read some of Matt's comments about similar problems others have faced with them years ago, so i am not alone.) This latest experience is accelerating my change over schedule to stop using the att-yahoo e-mail.
