Given FireFox high CPU usage problem has never been resolved, whats the next best privacy based browser?
I first started using Firefox in 2013 , it suffered back then from High CPU so I changed to opera, I again came back in 2015 with a new Mac Book Pro and still the same issue, did all the trouble shooting and gave up, now I again have another powerful Macbook , I still want privacy and security online but still Firefox is using 70% CPU even after putting it in safe mode, No script extenion installed...ect etc. So what the next best browser or am I missing something here?

Have you tried a Firefox refresh? That should help. Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings

Thanks for the tip Tyler! I tried that , but same result, I've noticed that yes that works but after about 20 minutes CPU usage goes through the roof again for no apparent reason, but after 5 minutes of Firefox slowing down, video stream breaking up etc , it like it clears the cache or something and the CPU usage goes back to normal, 20 minutes later it happens again.....so basically I can't watch a streaming movie without this interuption.
Actually , i've noticed that the problem is due to me streaming video ...I read somewhere that there might be problem with Firefix using OpenGL?
Anyone else have a solution to this near half decade long problem with Firefox?.....My fan is working over time as I write this!
