After upgrade to version 60, all color was removed from menues.
Hi there,
Ever since the upgrade to 60, all the menu icons have lost their color.
For instance; on the included picture, the "Smiley" icon used to be yellowish.
Why did the make that change, and is there a way to change it back?
The program runs fine and does everything it's supposed to do, but I just miss the colors.
Happy New Year and thanks in advance!

Hello and thank you for your response.
Tangobird changes the email icon colors as you had shown. However, it comes with several unwanted trade-offs.
As you can see on the left-side of picture-1, the folder icons have been changed to a blue color. You can also see, in the same segment, that the line pointers have been removed.
On the right-side of said picture, you can see that the column tabs no longer have a distinguishing color.
Picture-2 shows things as they are by default.
CustomizeMyBird is able to make a great number of changes to Thunderbird configurations - but it is not able to add color to the email icons... nor is it able to undo the unwanted changes from Tangobird.
I just don't understand why programmers, so frequently, make such seemingly unnecessary and arbitrary changes.
Thanks again for your reply,

Why do women's skirt lengths go up and down. Why does the length of mens hair change. It is all about what is the latest fashion. Software is not exempt.
The latest "trends" are for touch user interfaces that are in my opinion ugly. But suited to fingers 30mm wide. Take this forum for instance. It uses basically a quarter of the width of my screen. I have not been able to get anything resembling a reason why space is gratuitously wasted in five years on that topic.
The absence of colour is also a current trend. Have a look at products coming from Microsoft. Talk about the goth experience. Flat, monochrome and absolutely hard to navigate appears to be what we are going to be saddled with for some time to come. One day the user interface gurus will come up with something that works a lot better, but they will all have to stop playing follow the leader and "consult the focus group" to get there.
