I believe I have deleted my Thunderbird profile thinking it held a virus. Please help advise how I get it back. Thanks
I had received several emails containing viruses into my Thunderbird account. In an effort to ensure my computer was clean, I ran a virus scan. It highlighted a folder in the Thunderbird folders, indicating the virus was hiding there. As such, I deleted the folder. Since then each time I try to load my Thunderbird emails, I get the message "my Thunderbird profile cannot be loaded. It may be missing or inaccessible". I have uninstalled and re-installed Thunderbird several times, all to no avail. I have searched the help menu on the Thunderbird website and feel I need additional help in re-installing the profile since much of the information seems to be for when this particular folder is still on the computer.
I use Thunderbird for a work engagement and am hoping you will be able to help me as soon as possible.
Thank you in advance for your help Kathy

Not sure what you did expect to happen when deleting the profile.
You can restore it from Trash, assuming it's still in there.
Or you can restore it from a recent backup, assuming you did create one in the first place.
Check if a profile exists at all. http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Thunderbird
