Can't log into Twitter from Firefox

Hello everyone, here is my problem:

I can't log into Twitter from Firefox, I am using the latest version that is available on OS X Yosemite. I can log into Twitter from other browsers like Chrome and Safari. And whenever I put my login credentials it just resets back to the login page, it doesn't say wrong password or anything, it just resets the page. Also, I have looked around a few topics related to this and a few related solutions such as clearing cookies and cache, and editing the about:config option that I forgot the name of.

I figured out the problem. So the problem was that I had to remove the cookies from Twitter.com in the Firefox preferences.

Stating that I went through more than a couple of high placed hoops, which required the prowess of a mutant grasshopper, is an understatement.

All so I could offer my gratitude for posting the solution to an a ridiculous issue regarding Twitter. (Which, not to implant too many Russian nesting dolls into the story, but was part of another nagging issue as well.)
