Is there a way to get firefox 32 to look like Firefox 2008. In particular colorful toolbar icons no background pictures. I have a picture but can't find a way to post.

Sorry. There are two similarly named themes - i linked the wrong version.

This is the version I am using in Firefox 32. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/firefox-2-theme-for-firefox-3x/

Unfortunately I am on a Mac and this theme does not work on a Mac. Thanks anyway.

Anyone else want to take a crack at it? Is there a way to preview themes to see what they do to the toolbar?

Try out Pale Moon. http://www.palemoon.org/

They(FF devs) purposefully removed any customization out of the box to re-create the old look. Sadly we "have to" install yet another add-on to patch what they broke, instead of being "allowed" to repair it via customization options.

Another option is to look for alternatives, showing them, what we think of them flipping us USERS the finger.

As soon as I find a completely non mozilla/FF related browser that suits my needs I'll probably switch completely. (long time user here, now finally completely pissed off)

PaleMoon is after all still a Firefox clone, using their new code, just with much of the old freedom we used to have, which made FF apeal to most of us. ...oh those good ol' times...
