I have selected the 4 rows for shortcuts on my tab and have installed all but the last 3 spaces in the end of the 4th row. There's no option whatsoever to continue to add those remaining 3 spaces. Any suggestions?

Since dawn of times I'm using Firefox with a search box in the center of my Home page for new tabs and windows. It is the most important tool in my life as a web content manager. A few years ago my searches suddenly started to jump to the URL bar as soon as I started typing. An URL bar is - as the says - for URL's and it sits way at the top of my 27" and 32" screens, where my focus is not.

Luckily, this forum saved me with the about:config setting browser.newtabpage.activity-stream.improvesearch.handoffToAwesomebar > false to save my life.

A few months ago this was broken by 148.something. After about a month in hell that was repaired with a dot release. And now (151.0.3, Windows 11) it's broken again:

In normal mode it still works as expected, but the search box is not in the center anymore, it has been moved up to about 300 px from the top. Fixed, independent from window size !?! If you make the window small it moves out sight eventually.

In Private Windows it is still in the center vertically, but browser.newtabpage.activity-stream.improvesearch.handoffToAwesomebar > false does not seem to work there. As soon as I start typing it jumps to the address bar.

Prior to a recent browser update, my Firefox New Tab page was completely clean, minimalist, and beautifully displayed the custom background image I had chosen.

However, after the latest update, a large Firefox logo and wordmark have been forced onto the center-top of the New Tab page, completely cluttering the background image. There is no standard toggle or switch anywhere in the "Personalize" or Home settings menu to turn this logo off.

I have already tried the advanced about:config workaround by setting browser.newtabpage.activity-stream.logowordmark.alwaysVisible to False, but the logo remains visible anyway. Even ensuring that "Web Search" is toggled on/off does not resolve the issue.

Please provide a built-in settings option to hide this branding watermark, or a working configuration flag so users can enjoy a clean, unobstructed view of their chosen wallpapers.

I do enjoy the suggested stories on my home tab from time to time. However, certain providers, such as the New York Times, are paywalled. I would like to be able to block stories from a particular provider such that I don't have to see a cool headline, click, and be disappointed by a paywall blocking the story. Alternatively, make it so that Firefox does not suggest stories that require logging into an account from the provider to read them.

I like the concept of having various news articles & topics of interest on the Start Page. However, I don't like the fact that many of the links take me to "subscriber only" sites, and ones that I have no subscription to! We should be able to eliminate those sites we can't read the articles on, it would be pretty easy to have that option, instead of our having to waste time, going on wild goose chases!

And I first attempted to log in to the feedback & suggestions page, however Firefox's own password auto-fill, kept putting in the wrong password, (one for a completely different site), and when I searched to find the correct password, it was too late. Soon as I entered the correct one, it locked me out, saying too many consecutive attempts had been made! To make it worse, the error message gave no info as to what my next step should be!! It didn't say to try later, how much later, provided no link to a page to reset my password, no "forgot password" option, nothing. Why is logging in on Mozilla's own, various sites, always seem to be so buggy? I've had more issues just trying to log in, than I ever should have, no idea why this happens so often, although with the auto-fill inputting the wrong information, that could be one reason.

Since the last update, not this recent one, there has been a huge empty space at the top of the home page. I had to close the search so my favorites wern't off the bottom of the screen. I'd really like to remove the Firefox logo, move my favorites to the top of the page and the search under that. Can you make it more customizable?

Note what I wrote above. I simply want to optimize my use of this option and can't if it doesn't allow me access to sites that I desire to access rather than ones that simply pop into these squares as existing, irrelevant, I suppose Firefox placed, options are deleted. Most of which I've seen and received are irrelevant to me.

For last 2 days, whenever I open a new tab it takes ages to load. I've tried troubleshoot mode and refreshed Firefox but this hasn't worked. Internet connection is healthy, no problems with other browsers

I have recently installed Firefox on a new Laptop computer and on startup of Firefox the first page typically shows in the middle 7 or so icons for various accounts or processes, some of which are accounts I have recently accessed. BUT some of them are foreign ie. I have not used or accessed. AND it seems that some accounts/processes that I have & frequently used are NOT shown. How can I manage it so that my REAL FAVOURITES appear?

When I click for a new tab, all the shortcuts I have are moved down awkwardly. Can you fix that? That does not seem to be a good choice. Please change. The attached image shows that everything has moved down and I cannot see the names of the shortcuts. Why did you do this? Please fix that. There was absolutely no reason to do that!

Hello, In my prior versions of the Firefox browser for Windows 10, I saved and used 1 row of shortcuts right under the search field of the browser. When I updated to v151, the same saved shortcuts keep overwriting with recently viewed pages, just like the history list. Is there a way to stop the browser from overwriting my saved shortcuts row? Presently, I have to manually delete every single overwritten shortcut to maintain a clean list of saved shortcuts after having browsed to other websites; this cleanup process is getting old! FYI, I do used the bookmark toolbar also, but there just a few saved shortcuts that I like to have and frequently use in the single row of shortcuts. Please advise how to save my succinct row of desired shortcuts if that's now possible to do. Thank you.

I am using Windows 11 Pro on a new desktop computer. When I launch Firefox 2 Windows open, 1 with New Tab and 1 with previous session Tabs. The previous sessions only works if I close Firefox via the dropdown menu or the he file menu. If I use then 'x' to close as I normally would I only get the 1 window with a single New Tab on next launch. I have toggle the open last session Tab, but it does not solve the issue. I had all 32 homepage shortcut tiles in use. I tried to replace 3 of them, but, after removing those 3, the last 3 tiles won't appear under cursor. I just have dead page space under cursor where those 3 tiles should be. There is no page reaction to hovering cursor over those spots.

Hello, I am trying to customize the "Shortcuts" section on both Firefox for Android and Desktop homepage. I only want this section to display websites that I have explicitly pinned or added myself. However, if there are any empty slots left in the shortcut grid, Firefox automatically populates them with random websites from my browsing history. Is there a hidden setting (perhaps in about:config) or a native way to completely disable these auto-generated history shortcuts, so that only my manually added sites are shown? Thank you

Why isn't there a simple means to remove/prevent searches for the address bar, using config doesn't work.

I've used Firefox for over twenty years, this annoyance will end that and force a move to Brave.

On my homepage dismissing suggestion after suggestion of random websites i've visited singular times. It's creepy as hell the way firefox chooses random shit from my history to suggest to me. Remember that wikipedia article you read last week? They'll suggest that page instead of suggesting wikipedia itself? It's not helpful, I'm not navigating the web quicker because of it, if i wanted to find something from my history I'd search through my fucking history, it's creepy firefox's homepage algorithm tries to do that for me. It's annoying that I can click "dismiss" on a page, and it'll just show up at the end of the list! I fucking hate it and I spent way too long dismissing page after page after page until it finally suggested non-creepy links that i could pin so I never get a fUCKING suggestion for a goddamn reddit discussion I read five months ago ever again. It'd be nice if there was just a way to choose the fucking links that go there, or to fucking tell firefox to stop suggestion certain things outright, but who at mozilla actually gives a shit about what the user wants? I saw what y'all did with the mobile app, ya'll hate your userbase and having a functioning product god damn.

I love you Firefox but what gives you the right to change/mess with my settings on my home page and make it difficult for non technical user to change back to preferred look???????? Why do you do it?
